Our story
Houston has treatments. The why is harder to find.
Houston has no shortage of places to get a treatment. What is harder to find is a place that tells you why: why this treatment and not that one, why now, and what happens between appointments so the result lasts.
ZO Skin Centre Houston opened in 2018. It is physician-owned and was founded by Dr. Mark Khorsandi, DO, a physician and surgeon who trained under the direct mentorship of Dr. Zein Obagi, the dermatologist behind ZO Skin Health. He oversees medical candidacy and treatment planning, so there is a doctor's perspective behind every plan.
He opened the clinic for the patient who wants that explanation in writing, before anyone talks about what to book. CultureMap Houston covered the opening in September 2018.
The sister clinic, ZO Skin Centre Dallas, opened in 2017 at The Shops of Highland Park. Houston followed in 2018. Both clinics have been open since then, with Dr. Khorsandi as founder and medical director.
Today the clinic cares for clients from River Oaks, West University, The Heights, Bellaire, Upper Kirby, the Galleria, and beyond, from a quiet suite on Waugh Drive just south of Buffalo Bayou Park.

In-office care is chosen with intention and sequenced by concern and recovery time, never booked as a string of isolated fixes.
Protect the progress
A realistic ZO home routine, daily sun protection, and a maintenance rhythm carry results well past the treatment room. In Houston heat, humidity, and year-round sun, that part matters more than most people realize.
The aesthetic goal is simple. You should look like yourself, rested and refined, never "done."
The ZO heritage
ZO is pronounced Zee-Oh. It is part of the appointment.
ZO® Skin Health was founded in 2007 by Dr. Zein Obagi, a board-certified dermatologist and author whose work in skin health spans more than three decades. Long before "skin health" became a beauty-aisle phrase, Dr. Obagi was building the clinical case for it: skin should be prepared, treated, and protected as a system, not a collection of products.
ZO is physician-dispensed, which means it is designed to be used with a provider's guidance. At ZO Skin Centre Houston, ZO is not a shelf in the lobby. It is part of the appointment: what your provider sees, what is treated in the clinic, and what you do at home between visits.

A plan before a price
Every relationship begins with a complimentary consultation, usually 45 to 60 minutes. You leave with a written, sequenced plan covering treatments, ZO home care, timing, and follow-up, whether you book that day or not.
Physician leadership
The clinic is physician-owned and medically overseen by Dr. Khorsandi. He holds an active Texas Medical Board license M7331.
Honesty about fit
If a treatment is not right for your skin, your timeline, or your goals, we will tell you. If a concern belongs with a dermatologist or surgeon, we will say so.

Starting prices are published so you can compare honestly. Every quote names the treatment, the area, the amount or series, and any planned follow-up.
