Uneven texture is not one problem, it is a depth question, and the right fix depends on which layer your texture lives in. A routine can also cause the texture it is trying to fix: over-exfoliated skin gets inflamed and rougher, under-treated skin accumulates buildup. Part of the diagnosis is an honest audit of what you are currently doing to your face every morning and night.

Acne scarring and etched texture

Phase 1: Reset the surface

Peels work at the surface: they remove buildup, accelerate turnover, and brighten tone, which makes them the right tool for roughness, dullness, and congestion. Acne scars vs. enlarged pores: different problems, different tools
Enlarged pores are usually a function of oil production, lost elasticity around the pore, and buildup stretching the opening. They respond to oil control, exfoliation, and collagen stimulation, and while no treatment erases pores, a good series makes them dramatically less visible.
