The treatment
What is HydraFacial®?
HydraFacial® uses a wand and a single-use tip to cleanse, lightly exfoliate, pull congestion out of the pores, and put serum into the skin in the same pass. Dull, dehydrated, or clogged skin can look different before you leave. It does not shed the way a peel does, and it does not change scars, pigment, or laxity.
How HydraFacial® works
The tip spins serum and suction together. Dead cells and what is sitting in a clogged pore come out. Hydrating serum goes in on that same pass. A visit is about 45 minutes. The provider chooses the serum, and how firm the suction is, for the skin that day.
HydraFacial® boosters
A booster is a serum chosen for the skin that day: clarifying for congestion, brightening for a flat surface, calming for redness. LED can follow the pass. Lymphatic drainage can come first when the face is puffy. The provider says which of those belongs on the plan.

Why this clinic
Why HydraFacial® at ZO Skin Centre Houston
ZO Skin Centre Houston opened in Montrose in 2018. Dr. Mark Khorsandi owns the clinic and practices in it. Krista and Mini perform HydraFacial®. He decides whether it belongs on the plan.
- 01
Open since 2018.
Eight years in the same Montrose clinic. The treatment and the follow-up happen there.
- 02
The physician practices here.
Dr. Mark Khorsandi is a physician and surgeon, and he sees patients in this clinic. HydraFacial® is still Krista and Mini. He decides whether this skin should have it.
- 03
Thousands of patients, and a 5.0 star rating.
The clinic has treated thousands of patients. Google reviews are 5.0 from 285+.
- 04
When HydraFacial® is declined.
Candidacy comes before the device. HydraFacial® is declined when breakouts are inflamed, the barrier is open, or pigment and scars should come first.
- 05
What you take home.
This is a ZO Skin Health partner clinic, built on Dr. Zein Obagi's professional system. The cadence and the daily products are written down before you leave.

What HydraFacial® treats in Houston
Inflamed acne, pigment, and acne scars should not start here.
Photos are clinic patients, showing the concern. They are not the result.

HydraFacial® for dull skin
A flat cheek can look brighter the same day, once the serum is in the skin. A peel or Lumecca does more when the dullness is sun damage or a dark patch.

HydraFacial® for congestion
Blackheads on the nose can be extracted in the visit. Pores are not erased, and a peel does more when the blackheads keep coming back.

HydraFacial® for redness
A flushed cheek can look calmer the same day when a calming serum is part of the visit. Broken vessels and a rosacea flare need a different tool.

HydraFacial® for breakouts
A few small blemishes on the chin can be cleaned in the visit. Inflamed or cystic acne is planned as acne treatment first.

Treatment plan
What a HydraFacial® visit includes
- A single-use tip is opened for that visit.
- The wand cleanses, exfoliates, and extracts, with serum in the same pass.
- A booster, LED, or lymphatic drainage is added only when it is part of the plan. Dermaplaning is added in the same visit only when the skin can take it.
After the visit
When HydraFacial® results show in Houston
Documented cases here are the day of the visit, or a couple of days after. Most skin is then booked every 4 to 6 weeks.
- 01
Same day
HydraFacial® downtime
- If the skin is pink, give it a few hours before close-up photos.
- A Platinum visit is booked 3 to 5 days before an event.
- 02
1–2 weeks
After the HydraFacial®
- The fresher look carries for a short stretch.
- Daily products are what the skin has until the next visit.
- 03
4–6 weeks
The next HydraFacial®
- Most maintenance is booked on that cadence.
- A peel is the better next step when pigment or texture is why the glow fades.
Compare
HydraFacial® vs chemical peel
HydraFacial® extracts and hydrates in one visit, and you leave with the look. A chemical peel turns the skin over, and the change shows after it sheds. The guide covers downtime, congestion, pigment, and event timing.

Who performs hydrafacial® at ZO Skin Centre Houston?
Krista Wheeler, Licensed Master Aesthetician & Certified Professional Laser Technician. Herminia Garcia, Registered Nurse and aesthetic injector. Dr. Mark Khorsandi is the medical director.
What is HydraFacial®?
HydraFacial® uses a single-use tip and suction to cleanse, exfoliate, extract congestion, and infuse serum in one pass. Dull, dehydrated, or clogged skin can look different the same day. It does not shed, and it does not change scars or pigment.
Does HydraFacial® hurt?
The suction can feel like a scrape, especially on the nose and chin. It is not a needle. The provider says what the pass will feel like before it starts.
What does HydraFacial® help?
Dull skin, dehydration, blackheads, a flushed cheek, and a few small blemishes. Pores are not erased. It does not change scars, pigment, or laxity.
Is HydraFacial® good for dehydrated skin?
Yes, when the skin feels tight or looks flat because it needs water. The visit puts serum in the surface. A moisturizer still does the daily job. Crepey lines and laxity are a different treatment.
What is a HydraFacial® booster?
A booster is a serum matched to the skin that day, and LED can follow the pass. Lymphatic drainage can come first when the face is puffy. The provider says whether either belongs on the plan.
Is HydraFacial® the same as a chemical peel?
No. HydraFacial® cleans and hydrates in one visit. A chemical peel sheds, and the change shows after that. Pigment and rough texture usually belong with the peel.
Can HydraFacial® be paired with ZO Skin Health?
ZO home care is what the skin has between visits. The provider says when to pause and restart retinoids and acids.
How much downtime should I expect?
Most people go back to the rest of the day. Pinkness, if it shows, usually fades within a few hours. Event timing is set before the visit is booked.
How often should I get a HydraFacial®?
Every 4 to 6 weeks for most skin. A single visit looks fresher for a short stretch. The consultation sets the rhythm before it is booked.
When will I see HydraFacial® results?
The change is what you see that day, or within a couple of days. It does not keep building for months the way a collagen treatment does.
Is HydraFacial® good before an event?
A Platinum visit is booked 3 to 5 days ahead. A shorter visit can sit closer to the date. The consultation sets the day against the calendar.
How much does HydraFacial® cost in Houston?
Mini HydraFacial® is $200. Deluxe is $279 and adds a booster serum and LED. Platinum is $375 and adds lymphatic drainage before that. The tier is the full visit price, confirmed before anything is booked.
Which HydraFacial® should I book?
A Mini HydraFacial® is the maintenance visit: cleanse, extract, and hydrate. Deluxe adds a booster and LED when dullness, congestion, or redness is the job. Platinum adds lymphatic drainage and is booked 3 to 5 days before an event.
